These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LuvCause mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by LuvCause LLC ("LuvCause," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
LuvCause Membership — auto-renewing subscription
LuvCause Membership includes a 14-day free trial, then $14.99 USD per month. The subscription length is one month and renews automatically until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends to avoid the next charge. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Full details are in Section 6 below.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use LuvCause's dating, messaging, and matching features. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
NGO partners and organizations must be authorized representatives of their organization to register and host events on the platform.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed.
You may not create more than one account, impersonate others, or use another person's account without permission.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Share content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights
- Solicit money, personal financial information, or engage in scams
- Promote violence, discrimination, or hate speech
- Share sexually explicit content involving minors or exploit children in any way
- Spam, scrape, or use automated tools to access the Service
- Circumvent security measures or access unauthorized areas
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post on the Service. By posting content, you grant LuvCause a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content as necessary to operate the Service.
We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines without prior notice.
5. NGO Events
Organizations hosting events on LuvCause are responsible for the accuracy of event information, compliance with applicable laws, and the safety of attendees at their events. LuvCause is a platform and does not organize or guarantee events listed by third parties.
6. Subscriptions, Free Trial & Billing
LuvCause offers an auto-renewing subscription called LuvCause Membership. The membership provides access to the Service’s dating, matching, messaging, and event features, as described in the app at the time of purchase.
Plan, price, and trial
- Title: LuvCause Membership
- Length: 1 month, renewing monthly
- Price: $14.99 USD per month after the trial
- Free trial: 14 days at no charge for eligible new subscribers
The price charged to you is the price displayed in the app at the time you confirm the purchase, which may differ by country or region and may include applicable taxes. If a price changes, it will be disclosed before the new price applies, as required by Apple or Google.
Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the 14-day free trial ends, the trial converts to a paid monthly subscription and your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged $14.99 USD per month (or the local price shown at purchase).
Apple App Store purchases
If you subscribe through the Apple App Store:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or when the free trial ends if a trial is offered.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Apple’s standard end-user license terms also apply to the iOS app: Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Google Play purchases
If you subscribe through Google Play, payment is charged to your Google Play account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or current billing period. You can manage or cancel in the Google Play subscriptions settings. Google Play’s terms also apply to purchases made there.
Cancellation and refunds
Deleting the app or your LuvCause account does not cancel the subscription. You must cancel through the store where you subscribed. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. LuvCause cannot refund charges billed by Apple or Google.
We may change subscription features or pricing. Material pricing changes for an existing subscription are presented by Apple or Google before they take effect. Continued use of a paid plan after a change takes effect means you accept the updated price.
7. Moderation & Termination
We reserve the right to review, remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to our community. We may take action without prior notice in cases of serious violations.
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
LuvCause is not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the platform. You interact with other users at your own risk. We encourage meeting in public places and exercising caution.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LuvCause LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LuvCause LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
